Give the world a another chance
Baba Zula is confirmed to give a concert on Turkish Radio Television's (TRT) Istanbul Radio for EBU"s World Music Series
The recording will take place on Feb 29th at Mesut Cemil Studios and will be broadcasted live in 15 European Countries and Canada from 14 March 2004 onwards.
The concept of this concert which is part of the EBU concert series which started off in November 2003 on BBC Radio 3 is Give the world a another chance.
Producer Caner Belkim from TRT Istanbul Radio will coordinate the show and has determined the sub-concept of this concert as the impact of radio on humans and their environment. Baba Zula will be joined on some songs by TRT's legendary effect technician Korkmaz Cakar. DJ Murat Seker will be doing the warm up to the concert, alongside a rare broadcast of Mercan Dede's 2002 concert in France recorded by Danish Radio will liven up the waves. Nejat Cetinok one of TRT's veterans will be presenting the show.
The Turkish debut broadcast of the concert Give the world a another chance will be on 22 April on TRT 3 straight after the 17.00 news.
