The tour, which took place between July 16th and July 22nd, stopped in five cities. The first date of the tour took place at the Firenzestate Festival at Florence’s most famous plaza, Piazza Signoria. 20,000 attendees filled the arena to take in the show by Burhan Ocal. Waiting in anticipation for the performance by the notorious casanova, hundreds of Turkish girls rushed on stage to shake and shimmy to Ocal’s entrancing beats. Not to be outdone, dozens of Italian ragazze followed suit to showcase their gyrating hips before the crowd and the tiger-eyed Burhan Ocal.

The next stop on the tour was the Onde Mediterranee Festival in Udine, a concert for which the Italian press created a lot of hype. The third concert took place in the historic Italian village of Sarzana. The Mayor of Sarzana attended the concert and enjoyed the performance so much that he had nothing but words of praise for Burhan Ocal. The fourth date on the tour saw Ocal play before industry insiders at the World Music Meeting in Torino. The last stop on the tour was a concert at one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world, the Rome Jazz Festival. A veteran of the Rome Jazz Festival, Ocal was more than capable of working the crowd—a crowd that included the Turkish Ambassador to Rome and many representatives from the embassy.

Currently focusing his energies on his international touring schedule, prior to playing in Italy, Ocal played two dates in Germany at the Stimmen Festival. Come September the artist will visit Switzerland to play at the Gstaad Festival.
